EcoGerm Winter

EcoGerm Winter – contains a unique composition of fast-acting bacteria that remain active even in cold water. EcoGerm Winter is intended for use in autumn, winter, and spring when water temperatures range from 3.3° C to 8° C. It speeds up the process of decomposing organic matter, clarifies water, eliminates unpleasant odors, and breaks down ammonia (which is toxic to fish). This product accelerates the spring start-up and extends the filtration processes in autumn. EcoGerm Winter maintains a balanced ecosystem in the body of water all winter long and prevents algae blooms during warmer periods in winter weather.

EcoGerm Winter Mixture:

  1. 100% ecological, and safe for humans, animals, and the environment;
  2. This mixture is intended for periodic biological treatment of water reservoirs;
  3. This product is intended for use in autumn, winter, and spring when the water temperature ranges from 3.3 ° C to 8 ° C;
  4. It continues the process of decomposition of organic matter: leaves, dead plants, fish excrement, and food debris;
  5. Extends filtration processes and allows for later switching off and earlier switching on of filter systems;
  6. Breaks down ammonia, which is toxic to fish, and reduces unpleasant odors;
  7. Capacity: 100 g, 500 g, 1 kg;

Applications: fish ponds(eg. Koi ponds), swimming ponds, and natural ponds.

 

Application method: spread evenly over the water surface, or next to the air pump’s diffuser. Use as a preventive measure once a month when the water temperature fluctuates between 3.3° C and 8° C. Use EcoGerm Ponds at water temperatures above 8° C.

 

Dosage: as a preventive measure, 100 g of the mixture is enough for 10,000 liters of water for 1 month of use. Turn off any UVC lamps before applying the agent. UVC lamps can be turned on again after a few days.

 

Storage: store in a tightly closed container in a dry ventilated room at a temperature of -30° C to 30° C.

GOOD TO KNOW

EcoGerm Winter works in water with a temperature in the range of 3.3° C to 8° C, therefore it is an effective method of extending the filtration processes in cold climates.

EcoGerm Winter should be used regularly from October to the end of March. In winter, this mixture is applied through an air hole in the ice, or near the diffuser of the air pump.

When the water temperature exceeds 8° C, EcoGerm Ponds should be used instead, and then followed with the regular application of EcoGerm Standard until the end of the season.

Microbiological mixtures must not be used together with disinfectants and antibiotics. Microbiological mixtures must not be mixed or dissolved in chlorinated water.
